fold 2026 fundraiser

Hello! 

This is Isabella here! I’m elated to say I’ll be premiering a new project in Spring 2026 as part of the Steppenwolf Theater’s LookOut series! It has been a year and a half since this seed was planted and to be given a platform to share the first harvest is something I am beyond grateful for.  

To get this off the ground, I am looking to my community of loved ones and beyond to assist me in fundraising. This is to cover the costs of the following:

-Artists pay (1 choreographer, 3 collaborators)

-Studio rental

-Documantation (Photo/Video)

-Marketing Materials

-Costume

Fold works with the retelling of origin stories as they’re shared– and reshared– through different perspectives. The truth is a personal experience and has the tendency to ooze out at its leisure at times. It may not be the first, second, or even third time we encounter it that it becomes legible. This could be because of denial, pride, or trauma. All of which are stored in their own corners of the body
